Dr Matt Wilkinson
Online Therapist - Clinical Psychologist - Supervision
BA, MSc, DClinPsy, CPsychol, CSAccred
I am a Clinical Psychologist providing online counselling and online therapy. I am a registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council, and a chartered member of the British Psychological Society.
I have helped people recover from problems including phobias, depression, generalised anxiety, social anxiety, addictions, trauma, relationship difficulties, OCD, body dysmorphia, and personality disorders. My aim is to create a safe, thoughtful environment in which difficulties may be constructively understood, and appropriate strategies can be applied to address them.
I draw on significant clinical experience in the NHS and private settings to provide a nuanced approach to client difficulties. Feedback from previous clients may be found on my testimonials page. My work is primarily informed by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, but I also employ ideas and strategies from Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Prior to entering full-time independent practice, I worked at the Maudsley Hospital in London. I have published psychological research with the Institute of Psychiatry (Kings College London), and have had a role as a teaching associate at the Salomons Centre for Applied Psychology.
I offer weekly or fortnightly therapy for shorter and longer episodes of therapy (please see FAQs for further information). Sessions take place via Google Meets, are 50 minutes in length and are charged at £90. Please contact me using the form below if you wish to arrange a consultation or have any other questions.
